Creative Art..

For more details on Creative Art Click Here

Summary on some of the creativity activities possible at camp site.

Papier Mache- Layering strips of paper:

In this simpler form of papier mache you will be creating artwork with layers of paper strips. Just paste them on top of a framework and you can create things thta look tedious. The best thing about this form is that it is quick and easy compared to the pulp method.

Papier Mache- Moulding with pulp:

The term ‘papier mache’ means chewed paper in French. In other words this art form involves the use of paper pulp. One of the best methods of recycling old paper, this method involves soaking, crushing and mixing paper with a binding agent/glue. Then just use a mould or go freehand to create your masterpieces!

Studio Pottery

Pottery is the art of shaping wet clay and then baked or fired in an oven to make it hard and durable. It can be done in two ways. You can either ‘throw’ it on the potter’s wheel or you can shape it with your hands by pinching, coiling and using clay slabs.
We will be working on the second method that is Studio Pottery. The best thing about this form is that you can make free-hand designs. Just learn the basics- coiling, slabs, and pinching and you can make masterpieces out of clay.

Bicycles provide numerous benefits compared to motor vehicles, including exercise, an alternative to the use of fossil fuels, no airor noise pollution, much reduced traffic congestion, easier parking, greater maneuverability, and access to both roads and paths. CHOPTA-DEORIATAL TREK

30°29′22″N 79°12′55″E

TRIP HIGHLIGHTS:

This adventure trip offers a unique introduction to India. A combination of trains, temples, Himalayas and rivers the trip is considered to be one of the classics.

The trip starts with a train journey from Delhi to Rishikesh (one of the holiest towns in India, made famous by the Beetles in late 60s). We then drive up to the road head at Sari village enroute passing Rudraprayag where Jim Corbett shot his first leopard. From Sari we take a short beautiful trek of 3 km to get to Deoriatal Lake. On clear weather days, one can see the beautiful reflection of Chaukhamba Peak in the Lake.  From the lake we then trek till Chopta, famous for its alpine meadows and onwards to Tungnath.

The Tungnath temple is dedicated to lord Shiva and this is the place where the arm of lord Shiva appeared. This is one of the five Kedars built by the Pandavas as a mark of their gratitude to Lord Shiva.

The grand finale is a stay at the scenic MHE rafting camp at Shivpuri where you will get a chance to face the white waters of the mighty Ganga.

Nature Knights: Mountaineering Adventure at Ratnagiri Bhate Beach:

Take your time out for your self to experience life time experiences..

Few Moments of Truth...

Standing at the edge of the cliff I saw an ant size man looking up,
I did not have to strain my ears to listen
to the wooofering aggression of the coastal winds
and the raising applaud of the waves..
my eyes had developed magnified vision
and could clearly see the surf of the water,
a tingly sensation developed under my feet,
cheeks were a blush of red,
adrenaline juice was ready to explode in my belly,
all my senses were 100% alert,
time froze in suspense as I turned around taking my position to take first few steps on the cliff face..
for true prayers that were to come of my heart it should be now,
for it was the moment of truth now that it was my turn to walk down the great cliff hanger path..
