Aug 10 Day 01 Arrive Srinagar Airport. - On Arrival you will be transferred to the House boat , evening 30 mins Shikara ride on the lake. Over night at the House Boat in Srinagar /D
 

Aug 11 Day 02 Srinagar Sonamarg Kargil 7/8 Hrs drive 250 Kms..- Sonamarg - the Meadow of Gold Depart from Srinagar as per road opening timings. The drive to Sonamarg is another spectacular facet of country side in Kashmir in Sindh Valley. The Sindhu Valley is the largest tributary of the valley of Kashmir. drive to Kargil  the road passes through the panoramic village reach Sonamarg (2740 Mtrs). After Sonmarg most rough road and wet Zojila pass 3527 Mtrs (Gateway of Ladakh). Continue drive towards Drass (The second coldest inhibited place in the world) k. Another two and half hours drive will take us to Kargil (2710 Mtrs) which has got its importance after opening the Ladakh for tourists in 1974 Over Night at the Hotel in Kargil. BF/PKDL/D
Aug 12 Day 03 Kargil to Uleytopko 5/6 Hrs drive - depart from Kargil after early Breakfast,  en-route visiting the monastery of Mulbekh & Lamayuru & Moonlandscape passing through Namkila & Fatula Passes, The highest pass on the Srinagar- Leh road  and proceed to Ulleytopko Over Night at the Uleytopko   BF/PKDL/D 
Aug 13 Day 04 Drive Sham Valley & Alchi -After breakfast, carry packed lunch for the day. Sightseeing of 1000 year old Alchi monastery the only Gompa in Ladakh region on flat ground., Thereafter proceed to the Likir Monastrey to visit the splendid three storey Dharma Wheel Gompa. Here you'll be awestruck with the sight of the massive Buddha statues., Indus & Zanskar river Sangam , drive along the Indus river visiting, Pathar Sahib Gurdwara and Magnetic Hill (where the cars defy gravity), Basgo Palace Hiking only and further on to Leh Hall of Fame (which has a museum of the Kargil War memorabilia)Dinner and
Over Night at the Hotel in Leh. BF/PKDL/D

Aug 14 Day 05 Leh Local Tour of Hemis, Thiksey and Shey monastery and Shanti Stupa - After a leisurely breakfast, we drive to visit Hemis Monastery situated 45 kilometers west of Leh; Hemis is the largest and the wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. From Hemis, you are driven back taking the same route to visit Thiksey Monastery, located on a hill-lock with formidable views of the Indus valley. Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya and is also known for its (Dukhang) assembly hall which houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books, stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk. After that we continue to drive through series of chortens to visit Shey Palace the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh. Later in the afternoon, we will then drive to visit the Shanti stupa to catch the entire view of Leh city with the Indus River, we will spend some time to catch the sunset and further on to Leh Dinner and Over Night at the Hotel in Leh. Aug 15 Day 06 Pangong Tour of Pangong Lake-It is the highest land locked lake ( 155 Kms One way from Leh 05 Hrs drive  each way . After an early breakfast we Leave for Pangong Lake through Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometer at its widest point and over 130km long, it is bisected by the international border between India and China. A few years back the government decided to open it to tourists though the lake and its surrounding is under army surveillance. Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable.  Over Night Camping at Pangong. BF/PKDL/D

Aug 16 Day 7 Pangong to Leh safari..

Aug 17 Day 08 Leh Khardungla-  Nubra Valley Tour of Khardungla Pass 18832 Ft , Nubra Valley and Hundur Sand Dunes  –  Drive 120 Kms 4/5 Hrs ( Temperatures below Freezing point at Khardungla Pass) ensure to carry heavy winter clothes as most of the time this pass has snow .Khardungla is the World's highest motorable road at 18832 feet above sea level. At Khardungla pass the snow capped peaks and the mountain views are amazing. The road then passes through a bridge laid on Glacier which finds its way in Guinness Book of world records , Drive through the Valley which is extremely beautiful for photography.Nubra Valley is the Oasis of Ladakh as you see some colourful trees in this region. Later reach your camp  visit the Sand Dunes if lucky you will get the sight of the Two Hump Bacterian camels, enjoy time at  the Sand Dunes of Nubra valley spread across Hundur Village . Aug 18 Day 09 After Breakfast proceed to  Diskit monastery which is 515 years old situated on a hill top giving panoramic view of the valley later walk around the town of Diskit view the  Giant Buddha Statue in Diskit there is a small village market.    Proceed for the tour of Samstaling,Panamik,Yaraptso Lake along with the splendid view of the Karakoram Himalayan Range…Samsthaling is situated on the mountainside just above sumur. This was the route taken by the trade caravans, and Panamik, the last village on this circuit, was at that time a busy centre, the last major settlement before the caravans Proceed back to Leh cross Khardungla Pass once again and reach Leh . over Night at the Hotel in Leh. Aug 19 Day 10 Drop at Leh Airport Services ends

The Sport: (Waterfall Rappelling / Canyoning )

Canyoneering is a brand new sport that's becoming very popular all over the world. Western Ghats have many waterfalls and flowing streams that offer plenty of opportunity to enjoy this sport. 

This unique, multi-sport adventure combines rappelling, down-climbing and river tracing in a deep valleys. Exploring trails following down the steep waterfalls is an adventure experience of a lifetime – go where very few have had the privilege to roam! Imagine yourself in the midst thick forest at the top of tropical waterfalls with surprises each step of the way.

Tights, leggings, or Track pants (avoid heavy jeans)

Pack all items in double plastic bags before packing it in your backpack or ruck sack
Pack everything in your backpack properly. Light items on top and bottom side of bag, heavy item towards center and towards your shoulder and body. Use compression straps to tighten the bag from all sides so that items inside the bag do not keep shifting.

Dinner at Lonavala, Night Trek under starry night from Lonavala (Tungarli to Rajmachi), Night Stay at very Basic  Village Dormatory or TentsDip in Village Pond, Trek to Shrivardhan Fort, Off Road Ride Back to Lonavala, Brunch (Rajmachi Village Food), We will be back at Lonavala on March 31, 2013 before Lunch time.






Note: We can carry portable tents for you if you are willing to carry the same. Three Persons can stay in one tent and each tent weigh's about 5 KGS.

We take you to ST Stand and get you into Bus (Good Byes and Sign Off).

 About Ramach.. 

Rajmachi is the name given to the twin hill forts located around 18 kilometers from Lonavala, the twin forts are called 'Shrivardhan' and 'Manaranjan'. Rajmachi can be accessed either from Lonavala or Karjat (Base Village Kondivita). The approach from Lonavala is longer but easier; from Karjat side it a little steep. Best way to do a Rajmachi trek is start from Lonavala (Near Tungarli Dam) very early in the morning. An easy trek would take you till base village around Lunch time, stay over at the base village near the twin peaks 'Shrivardhan' and 'Manranjan', few simple village dormatory/ lodges available for stay would be happy to provide you with simple village food for a fee.Evening take a Dip in a Pond located at walkable distance from Village, the trail to pond leads to a cool patch of greenery. You can cover to twin forts near base village next day early morning. After early Lunch you can start your trek towards Karjat. You can get Rickshaws/ ST Bus from some distance at Kondivita Village.

  • Attire: Track Pants / Shorts / Tights / Leggings (Full Sleeves T- Shirt), Good Trekking Shoes or Good Canvas Shoe, Hat or Cap, 
  • One set of change clothes, swimming trunks, towel, soap
  • Sun Screen, Flash Light with Spare Cells, Pocket Knife
  • Sleeping Mat and One Thin Bed Sheet, Small and Light Air-Pillow
  • Carry all your stuff in 40 to 50 liter Backpack.
  • Mosquito repellant and personal medical kit. 
  • General Medical Kit will be available with Nature Knights

Three hours drive from Mumbai (120 km) or One and Half Hour Drive from Pune (40 km)
